We all have those movies. You know, the ones that are our kryptonite... the ones that no matter how many times you have seen them, you JUST. CAN'T. TURN. THEM. OFF. Come on, you know what I am talking about. As I stopped to watch "Clueless" for the
In no particular order.
1. Clueless
I don't know what it is about this movie, but I just can't stop watching it. I mean come on, "as if" this wasn't going to make my list... I was born in the 80s and grew up in the 90s/00s... of course Clueless is a favorite of mine.
2. The Notebook
This is probably one of my favorite scenes of the entire movie. And something I quoted with M at one point in our relationship... we even have a framed picture with the quote on it. This movie also has a special meaning to me because my grandfather died from Alzheimer's disease when I was in middle school and both of my grandmothers seem to have some form of early onset Alzheimer's. I have watched this disease cripple family members, and I know first hand how painful it can be to have a loved one not be able to remember who you are. This movie reminds me that it is important to remember the good times and to never stop telling those you love the stories of their lives because they will have moments of extreme clarity where they know who you are and what you mean to them... and those moments mean so much.
3. Dirty Dancing
Because no one puts Baby in the corner! This movie warms my heart every time I see it. I absolutely LOVE the way the dance comes together at the end of the movie!!
4. Pretty Woman
This movie will always be hands down one of my favorite movies of all times. Julia Roberts, Richard Gere... I mean come on people, how could you go wrong?! My all time favorite scene of the movie is at the end when Richard Gere goes after Julia Roberts climbing up the fire escape to "save" "Princess Vivian" even though he is deathly afraid of heights. Just goes to show that sometimes men can put their fears aside and be incredibly romantic!
Runners up include: The Lion King, Any of the Harry Potter Movies, Any of the Twilight Movies
What are some movies that you always stop and watch?
I haven't seen clueless in sooooo long and I will watch legally blonde if it is on every time too!! Classic!!
ReplyDeleteI like them all but Legally Blonde. Although I have sat and watched it. I just dont care for it. But the others I love. I own the notebook and most of Nicholas Sparks books and movies. I love him. Can't wait to read and watch "The Best of Me". although I'm sad to see James Mardens or whatever his name is from the notebook in the movie.
