Weekending

Despite the fact that for most people this was a "3 day weekend" for the hubby and I it was just a normal run of the mill weekend.  Thankfully we both had Friday, the actual 4th of July off so we were able to spend an entire day together before not seeing each other for the rest of the weekend.

Our 4th started out with me sleeping in a little (I closed at work the night before) and then getting up to "help" M make a corn hole set for our next tailgating experience.  I had no idea how much work it was going to be to make this and I am also not so sure how much help I actually was, in fact I am pretty sure that at times I frustrated M more than I actually helped him.

After helping M for a few hours I made a quick trip to the store so that I could make a red, white and blue dessert for an impromptu BBQ with one of our favorite families.  We had been planning on stopping by the V household to drop of a gift for Baby L, but when AV graciously invited us to come for dinner we knew we had to accept!

Dinner was fantastic as it is always nice to have a relaxing evening catching up with friends.  We were even lucky enough to catch some fireworks from the comfort of their patio!

Overall the 4th was great and then it was back to work for us on Saturday/Sunday.  M had to work 7am-7pm both days and I of course closed at work so was working until after 1am... meaning we didn't see each other for 2 days.  But, that is ok, because I am just thankful that we were both able to be off on the 4th and to get to spend some quality time together!

What did you do for your 4th of July weekend?

Today I am linking up with B Loved Boston and Champagne & Suburbs for their "Weekending" Link Up!
